In line with the HM Government advice document titled ‘Keeping Workers and Customers Safe During Covid-19 in Restaurants, Pubs, Bars and Takeaways’ (43 pages) published on the 23rd of June 2020, below are the HSC guidelines to members ahead of the outside bar opening to members and guests ‪from the 5th of July 2020‬. Obviously life at the club is going to be different to what we were used to. However we must adhere to the guidelines in the interests of the wellbeing of our staff, members and customers.
- The club will only be open to members and their invited guests.
- A Covid-19 advice poster and QR code will be on display at the entrance for track and trace and social distancing purposes. This entrance will be manned.
- Entrance will be via the new red gate to the left hand side of the club house to the outside seating area at field level on the cricket side.
- Our outside bar will be set up at the entrance to the groundskeepers store. A limited range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks will be available from here only. The inside bars and the balcony will NOT be open.
- We will fence off the playing area so members will not be allowed to take drinks on to the outfield.
- Seating is limited and social distancing requirements will be in place so members will be encouraged to bring their own camping chairs.
- Customers will be able to gather in separate groups as follows: EITHER one or two households (including support bubbles) OR a maximum of six individuals from different households.
- Umbrellas and gazebos will NOT be provided as they encourage people to bunch should it rain.
- WC facilities will be provided at 1st floor for ladies and at ground floor for men. A one way system for entry and exit will be in force.
- 30 minute interval cleaning/ sanitising will take place during opening hours.
- Hand sanitiser will be available on site but members are also encouraged to bring their own.
- Staff will not mix and match tasks where possible. Pot collector will not serve or use tills etc.
- Contactless payments only will be allowed. A fully linked till will be in use. Loyalty cards will not be in use. Cash payments will not be accepted.
- Pint glasses will be disposable at this time, as may other sizes.
- The facility will be open ‪between Thursday and Sunday‬ only. ‪3 to 9 pm‬ weekdays and ‪12 till 9pm‬ at weekends. The serving of food is not yet proposed.
- Members will be required to leave the premises by ‪9.30pm‬.
- Should members or their guests not engage with the track and trace requirements, social distancing or behave in a manner contrary to our needs they will be asked to leave and may have their membership withdrawn.
